Our Story
We founded in 1980
Ristorante Boccaccio has been a staple in the Toronto food scene since its launch in 1980, coinciding with the opening of the Columbus Centre.
A household name for authentic Italian cuisine, it has welcomed a diverse range of customers over the past 40 years, from famous personalities and prominent figures to local Italian families and the wider community. Nestled within a community centre, this restaurant has earned a reputation as a hidden treasure (as reported by the Toronto Star in March 2016).
With its convenient location in the heart of the city at Lawrence and Dufferin Street, it has become a go-to spot for expertly prepared classic Italian dishes. And now, Ristorante Boccaccio has recently undergone a revival under the culinary expertise of celebrity chefs Chef Luciano Schipano.
Chef Luciano Schipano is renowned in Toronto for their exceptional service and commitment to cooking with authenticity and reverence for ingredients, resulting in the most delightful and freshly made food.
This has earned them the prestigious titles of 2024 Canadian Choice and 2024 Global Recognition for their excellence in catering and Italian cuisine.
